Wash-Aways dissolvable spacers are used throughout the printed circuit board assembly industry as an easy method to maintain uniform spacing between components and boards. Wash-Away spacers are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes to locate and space diverse PCB components, including resistors, capacitors, transistors, potentiometers, and integrated circuits.

After soldering is complete, Wash-Aways dissolve in most water or alcohol solvent baths that remove solder flux. This leaves uniform spacing between components and boards. Uniform spacing provides free circulation of air, mechanical protection, optimum filleting, and greater accessibility for inspection, cleaning, and conformal coating.
